XHART-FM
XHART-FM is a radio station in Zacatepec and Jojutla, Morelos. It broadcasts on 89.3 FM and is known as Radio Señal. History After 20 years of applying for the station, XEART-AM 1590 (later 1520) received its concession on October 30, 1981, and signed on two weeks later, on November 13. Most of the history of this station revolves around the marriage of Andrés Eloy Martínez Silva and Araceli Rojas Tenorio. Rojas Tenorio was a pioneering female politician in Morelos; she is the mother of Andrés Eloy Martínez, a representative in the 62nd Chamber of Deputies for Morelos. On October 31, 1998, XEART broadcast a dramatization of '' The War of the Worlds'' by H.G. Wells; this resulted in panic on behalf of the audience, which believed it was an actual event, despite warnings before the program. In 2011, it migrated to FM as XHART-FM 89.3. Andrés Eloy Martínez
Andrés Eloy Martínez Rojas (born 23 June 1963) is a Mexican astronomer, scientist and politician. He has named various minor planets and also served one three-year term as a deputy in the 62nd session of the Congress of the Union, representing Morelos's fourth district. Astronomy Martínez Rojas has discovered various minor planets and has proposed names for planetary features. In addition to 10 supernovas, he discovered the minor planets , , and . In 2017, the minor planet 6159 Andréseloy was named in his honor. In 2003, he proposed to name a newly discovered crater on Mars after Jojutla, which was approved by the International Astronomical Union in 2007. Zacatepec, Morelos
Zacatepec de Hidalgo (Zacatepec from nahuatl Zacatl meaning grass and tepetl meaning hill, thus loosely meaning "grassy hill") is a town in the state of Morelos, Mexico. It is bordered by Puente de Ixtla, Tlaltizapán, Tlaquiltenango and Jojutla. Miguel Hidalgo was the priest whose call to arms on September 16, 1810, led to the Mexican War of Independence. The town serves as the local seat for the government, with which it shares the name. The municipality reported 36,159 inhabitants in the 2015 census. The main industry in the town and its surrounding countryside is that of sugar cane cultivation and processing. The most noticeable feature of the town is the sugar mill located in its center and during operating hours the air of the settlement is laden with the sickly-sweet smell of sugar. Jojutla
Jojutla is a municipality in the state of Morelos, Mexico. Its municipal seat is the city of ''Jojutla de Juárez''. The name ''Jojutla'' comes from Nahuatl ''Xoxōuhtlān'' () and means, ''Place of abundant blue skies''. Another interpretation is Jojutla should be written Xo-Xoutla and its etymological roots come from: ''xoxou-ki'', (dye called indigo) and ''Tla-ntli'', (teeth) to indicate abundance, so the name means: ''Place abundant in blue paint''. 2017 Puebla Earthquake
The 2017 Puebla earthquake struck at 13:14 CDT (18:14 UTC) on 19 September 2017 with an estimated magnitude of and strong shaking for about 20 seconds. Its epicenter was about south of the city of Puebla, Mexico. The earthquake caused damage in the Mexican states of Puebla and Morelos and in the Greater Mexico City area, including the collapse of more than 40 buildings. 370 people were killed by the earthquake and related building collapses, including 228 in Mexico City, and more than 6,000 were injured.
