X-Men In Other Media
The X-Men are a fictional superhero team created by Marvel Comics that appear in comic books and other forms of media. Television Animation 1960s The X-Men made their first animated appearance on ''The Marvel Super Heroes'' TV series in 1966 with Professor X commanding the original X-Men line-up of Cyclops, Beast, Marvel Girl, Angel, and Iceman. In this episode the X-Men are not referred to as the ''X-Men'' but rather as the Allies for Peace. 1980s *The X-Men guest-starred in several episodes of ''Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends'', starting with a flashback in "The Origin of Iceman". X-Men member Sunfire appeared in a later episode teaming up with the Amazing Friends. The X-Men's next appearance was in "A Firestar is Born", which included appearances from Professor X, Storm, Angel, Cyclops, Wolverine and Juggernaut. Stan Lee
Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber ; December 28, 1922 – November 12, 2018) was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. He rose through the ranks of a family-run business called Timely Publications which would later become Marvel Comics. He was the primary creative leader for two decades, leading its expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics and film industries. In collaboration with others at Marvel—particularly co-writers/artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko—he co-created iconic characters, including superheroes Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, the Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow. The New Mutants (film)
''The New Mutants'' is a 2020 American superhero film, superhero horror film based on the Marvel Comics team New Mutants, of the same name. It is a spin-off film in the X-Men (film series), ''X-Men'' film series and the thirteenth and final installment overall before the whole series was moved to Marvel Entertainment, Marvel. The film was directed by Josh Boone (director), Josh Boone from a screenplay he wrote with Knate Lee, and it stars Blu Hunt, Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, and Alice Braga. In the film, a group of young Mutant (Marvel Comics), mutants held in a secret facility fight to save themselves. Beast (Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and is a founding member of the X-Men. Originally called "The Beast", the character was introduced as a mutant possessing ape-like superhuman physical strength and agility, oversized hands and feet, a genius-level intellect, and otherwise normal appearance and speech. Eventually being referred to simply as "Beast", Hank McCoy underwent progressive physiological transformations, gaining animalistic physical characteristics. Cyclops (Scott Summers) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and is a founding member of the X-Men. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in the comic book ''The X-Men''. Cyclops is a member of a subspecies of humans known as mutants, who are born with superhuman abilities.
