	Wyton, Cambridgeshire Wyton is a village in Cambridgeshire, England. It lies approximately east of Huntingdon. Wyton is connected to the village of Houghton, so much so that the two settlements are rarely regarded as separate. Wyton is in the civil parish of ''Houghton and Wyton'', which is situated within Huntingdonshire, a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England. Wyton lies about a mile south of RAF Wyton. 	Wyton, East Riding Of Yorkshire Wyton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Bilton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, It is situated approximately east of Kingston upon Hull city centre. Wyton leads from Bilton through to Sproatley. Wyton was formerly a township in the parish of Swine, in 1866 Wyton became a separate civil parish, on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Bilton. In 1931 the parish had a population of 111. Wyton is a small farming village with few houses, it is used for farming because of its rich soil, and large, open space. Its history is small, but was a Quaker village in the 17th century. There are still signs of the Quakers, such as buried ploughing machines, buried clothes and the remains of the houses (more on the Sproatley track, leading from Sproatley to Coniston). picture info	RAF Wyton Royal Air Force Wyton or more simply RAF Wyton is a Royal Air Force station near St Ives, Cambridgeshire, England. The airfield is decommissioned and is now home to the Joint Forces Intelligence Group. History Flying station Wyton has been a military airfield since 1916, when it was used for training by the Royal Flying Corps and then its successor the Royal Air Force (RAF). During the Second World War it was used primarily as a bomber base, flying Bristol Blenheim, de Havilland Mosquito and Avro Lancaster aircraft. In 1942 it became the home of the Pathfinder Force under the command of Group Captain Don Bennett. After the war Wyton became home to the English Electric Canberras of the Strategic Reconnaissance Force. Vickers Valiants arrived for No. 543 Squadron RAF, No. 543 Squadron in 1955 and a Handley Page Victor arrived for the Radar Reconnaissance Flight in 1959.
