Henriette Wyeth
Henriette Wyeth Hurd (October 22, 1907 – April 3, 1997) was an American artist noted for her portraits and still life paintings. The eldest daughter of illustrator N.C. Wyeth, she studied painting with her father and brother Andrew Wyeth at their home and studio in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. After she and artist Peter Hurd married, they moved to San Patricio, New Mexico, in the mid-1930s and raised their three children on a ranch there. They were both inspired by the landscape and eventually had a 2200-acre ranch. One of her well-known quotes is: "I don't know what is important and what is unimportant, so I call it all immensely important." Ezra Wyeth (13 March 1910 – 15 October 1992) was an Australian cricketer. He played in twenty-five first-class matches for Queensland between 1933 and 1938. Marion Sims Wyeth (February 17, 1889 – February 4, 1982) was an American architect known for his range in styles such as Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and classical Georgian, French, and Colonial. He designed numerous mansions in Palm Beach, Florida during its gilded age. Wyeth was among a group of architects considered the “Big Five,” along with John L. Joseph Wyeth (1663–1731) was an English merchant and Quaker controversial writer. Life The son of Henry and Sarah Wyeth, he was born on 19 September 1663 in the parish of St Saviour, Southwark. John Allan Wyeth
John Allan Wyeth (May 26, 1845 – May 22, 1922) was an American Confederate veteran and surgeon. Born and raised on a Southern plantation in Alabama, he served in the Confederate States Army and completed his medical studies in New York City and Europe. He became a surgeon in New York City, where he founded the New York Polyclinic Graduate Medical School and Hospital, a medical school. He served as the president of the American Medical Association in 1902. He was the author of a biography of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest. Huston Wyeth
Huston Wyeth (1863–1925) was an American industrialist and a prominent businessman and social figure in St. Joseph, Missouri. Early life Huston Wyeth was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on July 8, 1863, to William Maxwell Wyeth (1832–1901) and Eliza Renick Wyeth (1837–1920). Huston had two siblings, including Sue Maud (1861–1897). William's brothers, John and Frank, founded the Wyeth pharmaceutical company. Career Huston Wyeth began investing in cattle at age 17. He attended the Racine Business College in Wisconsin. Upon returning to St. Joseph, Huston associated initially with the hardware firm of Lyon & Judson. Arthur Edwin Wyeth (3 July 1887 at Melbourne, Victoria – 18 October 1971 at Brisbane, Queensland) was a cricket Test match umpire. Wyeth umpired one Test match in 1931 between Australia and the West Indies at the Brisbane Exhibition Ground on 16 January to 20 January 1931. Australia won by an innings with Don Bradman scoring 223, Bill Ponsford a century, and Clarrie Grimmett taking 9 wickets for the match. Wyeth's partner, James Orr, was also standing in his only Test match. Wyeth umpired eight first-class matches, all of them in Brisbane, between 1920 and 1931. Carolyn Wyeth ( ; 1909–1994), daughter of N.C. Wyeth and sister of Andrew Wyeth, was a well-known artist in her own right. Her hometown was Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. She worked and taught out of N. Alison Wyeth (born 26 May 1964) is a female English former middle and long-distance runner. Athletics career Wyeth represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996, as well as at three World Championships, finishing 5th in the 3000 metres final at the 1993 World Championships. She won AAAs Championship titles at 1500m (1993), 3000m (1989) and 5000m (1995), and twice won the UK Athletics Championships title at 1500 m (1990–91). She represented England in the 3,000 metres event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
