''Wunna'' (stylized in all caps) is the second studio album by American rapper Gunna. It was released on May 22, 2020, by YSL Records and 300 Entertainment. The album features guest appearances from Young Thug, Nechie, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and Travis Scott. The deluxe edition was released on July 24, 2020. It features additional guest appearances from Yak Gotti, Future, Nav, and Lil Uzi Vert. ''Wunna'' received generally favorable reviews from critics and debuted atop the US ''Billboard'' 200, earning 111,000 album-equivalent units of which 4,000 were pure sales, becoming Gunna's first number-one album. Sergio Giavanni Kitchens (born June 14, 1993), known professionally as Gunna, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is signed to Young Thug's record label YSL Records, as well as 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records. He released his debut studio album, ''Drip or Drown 2'' in 2019 and followed it up with his second studio album '' Wunna'' in 2020, which debuted atop the '' Billboard'' 200. His third album ''DS4Ever'' was released in 2022, becoming his second consecutive number one album. Early life Gunna was born in College Park, Georgia. Revolt is an American music-oriented digital cable television network founded by Sean "Diddy" Combs and Andy Schuon that launched on October 21, 2013. Album-equivalent Unit
The album-equivalent unit, or album equivalent, is a measurement unit in music industry to define the consumption of music that equals the purchase of one album copy. This consumption includes streaming and song downloads in addition to traditional album sales. The album-equivalent unit was introduced in the mid- 2010s as an answer to the drop of album sales in the 21st century. Album sales more than halved from 1999 to 2009, declining from a $14.6 to $6.3 billion industry. For instance, the only albums that went platinum in the United States in 2014 were the '' Frozen'' soundtrack and Taylor Swift's ''1989'', whereas several artists' works had in 2013. The usage of the album-equivalent units revolutionized the charts from the "best-selling albums" ranking into the "most popular albums" ranking.
