Wuhan Hongxing–Jiangsu Suning Brawl
On 11 May 2016, a 2016 Chinese FA Cup third round match involving the amateur club Wuhan Hongxing Bairun F.C. and the Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Suning F.C. took place at Hankou Cultural Sports Centre, in Wuhan, China. Jiangsu Suning won by a single goal while striker Ge Wei scored in the 7th minute of the stoppage time, but the game was best remembered for a brawl following the final whistle. Wuhan Hongxing Bairun F.C. was banned from all future matches organised by the Chinese Football Association. Six players and two staff of Wuhan received a life ban from football after the incident. Match Details * Zhang Weijun, Rao Yao, Zhu Cheng, Yan Qi, Jin Xin, Li Wenqiang and Zhang Xiaolong were ineligible to play for Wuhan Hongxing. Wu Xi (footballer)
Wu Xi (; born 19 February 1989) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua. Club career Wu Xi started his football career with Hebei Tiangong in 2008 when the club was formed and joined the third tier. While the club only played one season in the division, Wu's development particularly with the Chinese national youth teams was impressive enough for top tier side Shanghai Shenhua to be interested in his services, signing for the club on 17 November 2009. Alex Teixeira Santos (; born 6 January 1990) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Vasco da Gama. Daniel Vasile Petrescu (; born 22 December 1967) is a Romanian football manager and former player, who is currently in charge of Liga I club CFR Cluj. As a player, Petrescu was deployed as a full-back or a winger and represented Premier League teams Sheffield Wednesday, Chelsea, Bradford City and Southampton. Liu Wei (; born 7 January 1993) is a Chinese professional footballer who plays for as a centre-back for and captains Chinese Super League club Nantong Zhiyun. Club career Liu Wei received organised football training in Jiangsu Youth. He entered Nanjing University in 2009 and received his bachelor's degree of administration in the summer of 2015. Qu Cheng (; born February 8, 1989) is a Chinese footballer who currently plays as a striker for China League One side Wuhan Three Towns.
