Wrestling At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Greco-Roman 130 Kg
Men's Greco-Roman 130 kilograms competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil took place on August 15 at the Carioca Arena 2 in Barra da Tijuca. This Greco-Roman wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. The medals for the competition were presented by Sergey Bubka, IOC member, Ukraine, and the gifts were presented by Ahmet Ayik, Vice President of UWW. Carioca Arena 2 (Portuguese: ''Arena Carioca 2'') is an indoor stadium in Barra da Tijuca in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The venue hosted judo at the 2016 Summer Olympics, judo and wrestling at the 2016 Summer Olympics as well as boccia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. As with a number of other venues in the Barra Olympic Park, Carioca Arena 2 will be transformed after the games to become part of the Olympic Training Center (Rio de Janeiro), Olympic Training Centre. Iakobi Kajaia
Iakob Kajaia ( ka, იაკობ ქაჯაია; born September 28, 1993) is a Georgian Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 130 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Sergey Semenov. He is a European bronze medallist (2018). He lost his bronze medal match in the 130 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.
