Centre Pierre Charbonneau
Centre Pierre Charbonneau is a community center located in the Olympic Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was built in 1957 and its gymnasium holds 2,700 people. The arena also hosted wrestling events at the 1976 Summer Olympics. It was originally built as a police academy and is located at 3000 rue Viau. All types of courses are given in such areas as gymnastics, martial arts, music, and languages. The center also hosts various conventions and exhibitions during the year. It is the former home of the Montreal Jazz of the National Basketball League of Canada. It was formerly host to the Montreal Royal of the American Basketball Association's current incarnation, and the Montreal Sasquatch of the Premier Basketball League. On December, 27, Thursday, 2007 the arena held a TNA Wrestling House Show. Ben Peterson
Benjamin Lee "Ben" Peterson (born June 27, 1950) is a retired American freestyle wrestler. He competed at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and won a gold and a silver medal, respectively. As a college wrestler, Peterson was a two-time NCAA champion at Iowa State. He founded the "Camp of Champs," which brought in Olympic wrestlers to train with high schoolers. Peterson also coached wrestling at Maranatha Baptist University for 28 years. Early life Peterson was born in Barron County, Wisconsin but grew up on a dairy farm in nearby Comstock. While attending Cumberland High School, Peterson competed in both football and wrestling. As a senior, he finished 2nd in the state wrestling tournament. John Allan Peterson (born October 22, 1948, in Cumberland, Wisconsin) is an American wrestler and Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling. Olympics Peterson competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich where he received a silver medal in freestyle wrestling in the middleweight class. Stanley Joseph Dziedzic, Jr. (born November 5, 1949) is a retired American welterweight freestyle wrestler. High school Dziedzic attended high school at William Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Collegiate and amateur career He was a 1972 graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where his collegiate record of 118 victories and only two defeats served as Dziedzic's springboard to international achievements in the sport. Dziedzic won three NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships while at Slippery Rock in 1970, 1971, and 1972, three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference titles, and a University Division title as a junior. Lloyd Weldon "Butch" Keaser (born February 9, 1950) is an American former wrestler who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics, for the United States. Keaser was born in Pumphrey, Maryland. He wrestled for the United States Naval Academy and was a two-time NCAA All American. He was an alternate on the 1972 Olympic team to Dan Gable.
