Wouter Verstraaten
Wouter Verstraaten (born 10 March 1996) is a Dutch footballer. Besides the Netherlands, he has played in the United States and England. Biography Verstraaten enrolled at Durham University in September 2019 as a postgraduate sport scholar in the business school, and in addition to playing for the university football team also made appearances for Consett and South Shields – signing a full-time contract for the latter in May 2020. Heeze
Heeze is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Heeze-Leende, about 9 km southeast of Eindhoven. The Heeze Castle is located east of the town. Further east and to the north lies the Strabrechtse Heide. History The village was first mentioned in 1173 as Herebertus de Hese, and means shrubbery. Heeze is an agricultural community which developed along the Grote and . The ''heerlijkheid'' Heeze was first mentioned in 1172. A castle has been known since 1203. The current castle dates from the 15th century and enlarged and probably rebuilt in the 17th century. Between 1796 and 1798, a large English landscape garden was laid out around castle. 2019–20 Northern Football League
The 2019–20 Northern Football League season was the 122nd in the history of Northern Football League, a football competition in England. The allocations for Steps 1 to 6 for season 2019–20 were announced by the FA on 19 May. These were subject to appeal, and the Northern League's constitution was ratified at the league's annual general meeting (AGM) on 15 June. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this season's competition was formally abandoned on 26 March 2020, with all results from the season being expunged, and no promotion or relegation taking place to, from, or within the competition. KNVB Cup
The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898. It was based on the format of the English FA Cup. Outside the Netherlands, it is often referred to as the Dutch Cup. Vierde Divisie
The Vierde Divisie, formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league is divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This is a result of the traditional pillarisation ( nl, verzuiling), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. Although the pillarisation ended in the 1960s and 1970s, the clubs and the league have maintained this division. 2021–22 Hoofdklasse
The 2021–22 season of the Hoofdklasse will be played in four leagues, two for Saturday and two for Sunday. The champions of each league will be promoted directly to the Derde Divisie; other teams can get promoted through play-offs. The 2021–22 Hoofdklasse will start on Saturday 28 August 2021. Effects of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic During the 2019-20 season, on 31 March 2020, the KNVB decided to cancel all competitions at amateur level. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, commonly known as the FA Trophy, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after the English Football Association and competed for primarily by semi-professional teams. The competition was instigated in 1969 to cater to those non-league clubs that paid their players and were therefore not eligible to enter the FA Amateur Cup. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. First played during the 1871–72 season, it is the oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association (The FA). 2020–21 Northern Premier League
The 2020–21 season was the 53rd season of the Northern Premier League. The league consists of three divisions, the Premier Division at Step 3 of the National League System, and the West and East Divisions at Step 4. As the previous season was terminated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with all results removed, there were no changes in the allocations of teams for the Northern Premier League. The planned restructuring of the National League System, including the expansion of the Northern Premier League to include a further division at Step 4, was postponed until 2021–22. For this season it was announced to member clubs that the League Cup would not take place during the season. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Geographically, the league covers all of Northern England and the northern/central areas of the Midlands, and western parts of East Anglia. Originally a single-division competition, a second division was added in 1987: Division One, and in 2007 a third was added when Division One split into two geographic sections - Division One North and Division One South.
