Worth County, Georgia
Worth County is a county located in the south central portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21,679. The county seat is Sylvester. Worth County is included in the Albany, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Worth County was created from Dooly and Irwin counties on December 20, 1853, by an act of the Georgia General Assembly, becoming Georgia's 106th county. It was named for Major General William J. Worth of New York. In 1905, portions of Worth County were used to create Tift and Turner counties. Geography According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of , of which is land and (0.7%) is water. Early County, Georgia
Early County is a county located on the southwest border of the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 11,008. The county seat is Blakely, where the Early County Courthouse is located. Created on December 15, 1818, it was named for Peter Early, 28th Governor of Georgia. The county is bordered on the west by the Chattahoochee River, forming the border with Alabama. Baker County is a county in Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,876. The county seat and only city is Newton. The county was created December 12, 1825 from the eastern portion of Early County by an act of the Georgia General Assembly and is named for Colonel John Baker, a hero of the American Revolutionary War.
