World Rugby
World Rugby is the world governing body for the sport of rugby union. World Rugby organises the Rugby World Cup every four years, the sport's most recognised and most profitable competition. It also organises a number of other international rugby competitions, such as the World Rugby Sevens Series, the Rugby World Cup Sevens, the World Under 20 Championship, and the Pacific Nations Cup. Ed Morrison (rugby Union)
Edward Francis Morrison (born 6 September 1951) is a former English rugby union referee. He refereed the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final. In 1998 he became England's first full-time professional referee. He was given an award by the International Rugby Board for distinguished service in 2001. Morrison first retired from refereeing in 2003. He was involved with the Bristol Referees' Society, then the RFU and PRO12. He was appointed as manager of England's elite referees in 2008. Derek Bevan
William Derek Bevan (born 3 September 1947 in Clydach, Wales) is a Welsh international rugby union referee. Bevan refereed his first international match on 22 April 1984, the 1983–84 FIRA Trophy match between Italy and Romania. Bevan refereed a total of 11 Rugby World Cup games, beginning with two games at the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987 and three games at the 1991 Rugby World Cup, including the final between Australia and England. At the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa, Bevan was in charge of three matches, including the opening match of the tournament and the semi-final between hosts South Africa and France, and was one of the touch judges for the final. James Mathieson Fleming MBE (born 8 July 1951 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom) is a retired Scottish Rugby Union Referee who refereed 42 major international matches and was a touch judge in a further 75. Paddy O'Brien (rugby Union)
Patric Denis O'Brien (born 19 July 1959), commonly known as Paddy O'Brien, is a New Zealand international rugby union referee, and former head of the International Rugby Board's Referee Board. He was born in Southland, New Zealand. He played his rugby as a full back and wing for Southland at Under 18 and B level, as well as Sevens, between 1976 and 1984. Refereeing career O'Brien began refereeing with the Southland Referees Association in 1984 and combined that with 17 years in the New Zealand Police before turning professional in 1996 with his first game in the Super 12. Francis was the mayor of Masterton from 1986 until 2007, and chair of the Wairarapa District Health Board from 2006 to 2013. Alhambra Nievas González (born 9 August 1983) is a former Spain women's rugby union international and a current rugby union referee. Nievas refereed the women's final at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2016 she also served as an assistant referee at a men's international between Tonga and the United States. This saw her become the first woman to officiate in a men's rugby union international. Fhatuwani 'Rasta' Rasivhenge (born in Johannesburg on 3 January 1986) is a South African rugby union referee who is a member of the South African Rugby Union (SARU) Premier Panel. Joy Neville (born on 24 July 1983) is a former Ireland women's rugby union international and a current rugby union referee. As a player, Neville represented Ireland at both the 2006 and 2010 Women's Rugby World Cups. In 2009 Neville captained the first Ireland team to defeat . Angus Gardner
Angus Gardner (born 24 August 1984) is an Australian rugby union professional referee who was appointed to the Super Rugby referees panel in 2012. His first match in Super Rugby was between the Queensland Reds and Melbourne Rebels at Suncorp Stadium in March of that year. Gardner took up refereeing in 1999 at the age of fifteen, and became a full-time referee in 2015.
