World Container
''World Container'' is the tenth studio album by Canada, Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip. It was released in Canada on October 17, 2006, in two formats: as a limited edition Digipak and regular jewel case. The United States release was March 6, 2007, in advance of a planned tour. This album was recorded at various locations including Maui, Vancouver and Toronto. In concert Gord Downie joked that the title of the album is actually a typo, and should read "World Contain Her." The first single, "In View", and the video for the song were released on the band's website in advance of the album release. "In View" reached #1 on Billboard (magazine), Billboard's Canada Rock chart. The track "The Lonely End of the Rink" was premiered on ''Hockey Night in Canada'' on October 7. "The Drop-Off" was featured in season 7 episode 6 of Trailer Park Boys. The Tragically Hip
The Tragically Hip, often referred to simply as the Hip, were a Canadian rock band formed in Kingston, Ontario in 1984, consisting of vocalist Gord Downie, guitarist Paul Langlois, guitarist Rob Baker (known as Bobby Baker until 1994), bassist Gord Sinclair, and drummer Johnny Fay. They released 13 studio albums, one live album, one EP, and over 50 singles over a 33-year career. Nine of their albums have reached No. 1 on the Canadian charts. They have received numerous Canadian music awards, including 17 Juno Awards. Between 1996 and 2016, the Tragically Hip were the best-selling Canadian band in Canada and the fourth best-selling Canadian artist overall in Canada. "At the Hundredth Meridian" is a song by Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip. It was released in April 1993 as the fourth single from the band's 1992 album, ''Fully Completely''. The song peaked at No. 18 on the Canadian ''RPM'' Singles chart. The song was also featured in the ''Due South'' episode "Heaven and Earth" in 1995. When performing the song live, the band would often play it at a significantly faster tempo than on the album, and would use the instrumental break for a jam session lasting several minutes. Content The song is a reference to the 100th meridian west, which is a line of longitude that separates much of Western Canada from the Central and Atlantic regions of Canada and is where the Great Plains begin, as lead-singer Gordon Downie states in the song. ''That Night in Toronto'' is a live concert DVD featuring Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip, filmed and directed by filmmaking brothers Pierre and Francois Lamoureux. It was recorded November 26, 2004 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during The Hip's ''In Between Evolution'' tour and captures that night's performance in full with no edits. Originally released November 1, 2005, as a part of the ''Hipeponymous'' box-set, it was released separately on November 8, 2005. The audio is exclusively available from the iTunes Music Store.
