World Auto
The World Auto Co., Ltd. (Vietnamese: ) is the official general importer and car assembly plant for Volkswagen located in the Ho Chi Minh City. The company was founded in 2006 and is responsible for the supply of five contracted dealers. The plant of the company is located in the Vinashin-Shinec Industrial Area of Hải Phòng which covers an area of 100 hectares. Investors from five countries, including Japan, South Korea, Netherlands and Sweden had provided a total sum of 120 million U.S. dollars for the building of the plant. The final contracts for the joint venture were signed in April 2007. The Volkswagen Beetle (also sold as the Volkswagen Käfer, Volkswagen Coccinelle, Volkswagen Maggiolino, Volkswagen Fusca in some countries) is a small family car manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen introduced in 2011 for the 2012 model year, as the successor to the New Beetle launched in 1997. It features a lower profile while retaining an overall shape recalling the original Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle. One of Volkswagen's goals with the model was to give it a more aggressive appearance while giving it some stylistic aspects reminiscent of the Type 1. The Volkswagen Scirocco is a three-door, front-engine, front-wheel-drive, sport compact hatchback manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen in two generations from 1974 to 1992 and a third generation from 2008 until 2017. Production ended without a successor. The Scirocco derives its name from the Mediterranean wind. The Volkswagen New Beetle is a compact car, introduced by Volkswagen in 1997, drawing heavy inspiration from the exterior design of the original Beetle.
