Workout (RuPaul Song)
"WorkOut" is the second single from RuPaul's album ''Red Hot (RuPaul album), Red Hot''. The song is a dance/house song about feeling liberated while dancing. The expression "work out" is (not exclusively) gay slang for expressing one's self exuberantly; it is similar to RuPaul's coined phrase "You better work!". Two versions of the single were made available; one version, with 8 tracks, was released by RuPaul on her own RuCo, Inc. label. The other version, a 3 track version released only in Germany, was released on the Dance Street label. Music video The music video was catered to club play and features a montage of RuPaul in different outfits singing the song in locations such as a roof top and a dance club. Hip House
Hip house, also known as rap house or house rap, is a musical genre that mixes elements of house music and hip hop, that originated in both London, United Kingdom and Chicago, United States in the mid to late 1980s. British group the Beatmasters' "Rok da House" is known to be the very first hip house record, having been written and pressed to vinyl in August 1986. Other early hip house records by British artists include " Pump Up the Volume" by MARRS and "Beat Dis" by Bomb the Bass, both from 1987. Eric Kupper is an American keyboardist, arranger, songwriter, remix artist, DJ, and record producer of French descent. Biography Eric Kupper began playing in bands in his formative years, and got his real start in the mid-1980s working as a keyboardist, guitarist, and songwriter for such producer/remixers as David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Arthur Baker, Mark Kamins, Justin Strauss, Peter Rauhofer, and Richie Jones. Francis Warren Nicholls, Jr. (January 18, 1955 – March 31, 2014), better known as Frankie Knuckles, was an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He played an important role in developing and popularizing house music in Chicago during the 1980s, when the genre was in its infancy. "Looking Good Feeling Gorgeous" is the first single from RuPaul's album '' Red Hot''. The dance/house song is a self-affirming anthem of self-confidence, particularly in relation to one's appearance. "People Are People" is a song by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released on 12 March 1984 as the lead single from their fourth studio album, ''Some Great Reward'' (1984).
