Wooster Warriors
The Wooster Warriors were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL). The team was one of the inaugural members of the MAHL while based in Wooster, Ohio, with home games at the Alice Noble Ice Arena for their first season in 2007–08. In April 2008, it was announced the team would relocate to Trenton, Michigan, for the second season with home games at the 1,000-seat Kennedy Recreation Center under the name Trenton Warriors. The MAHL and the Warriors folded before its second season in September 2008. Wooster ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Wayne County. Located in northeastern Ohio, the city lies approximately south-southwest of Cleveland, southwest of Akron and west of Canton. The population was 27,232 at the 2020 census. Mid-Atlantic Hockey League
The Mid-Atlantic Hockey League (MAHL) was a minor professional ice hockey league in the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes regions of the United States. The league began play in November 2007. The league was a low level league designed to help ex junior and college players gain pro experience and exposure and move up to higher level leagues. First season The league cancelled the remainder of the 2007-08 season and suspended operations on February 12, 2008, declaring the Indiana Ice Miners league champions. The MAHL hoped to return with teams in new locations in 2008-09. Trenton, Michigan
Trenton is a city in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. At the 2010 census, the city population was 18,853. A Shawnee village was built in the area by war chief Blue Jacket after the 1795 Treaty of Greenville. The area later became the site of the Battle of Monguagon between Americans and a British-Indian coalition during the War of 1812. The battle is commemorated with a Michigan State Historical Site marker in present-day Elizabeth Park, which was the first county park in Michigan when it was established in 1919. Portions of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge are within the southern portion of Trenton. The area was once part of the now-defunct Monguagon Township.
