''Woops!'' is an American postapocalyptic sitcom that aired on the Fox network from September 27 to December 6, 1992. The series was created by Gary Jacobs, and produced by Witt/Thomas Productions in association with Touchstone Television. Synopsis The series centered around the six survivors of a world nuclear holocaust. They live together in an abandoned farm house while trying to survive and re-establish civilization. Thirteen episodes were made, but only 10 were aired before Fox cancelled the series. In July 2002, ''TV Guide'' named ''Woops!'' the 42nd-worst TV show of all time, and referred to as a "post-apocalyptic '' Gilligan's Island''". Characters * Mark Braddock (Evan Handler), formerly a schoolteacher, is the narrator of the show by writing in his journal. Paul Junger Witt (March 20, 1941 – April 27, 2018) was an American film and television producer. He, with his partners Tony Thomas and Susan Harris (also his wife), produced such television shows as ''Here Come the Brides'', ''The Partridge Family'', ''The Golden Girls'', ''Soap'', ''Benson'', ''It's a Living'', ''Empty Nest'', and ''Blossom''. Gary Jacobs is an American television comedy writer and producer and author. He was born in New York in 1952, grew up in Dallas, and was educated at the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his bachelor's degree in Journalism. Immediately upon graduation, Jacobs moved to New York to pursue comedy writing. His first job was at the Children's Television Workshop, where he became co-editor (with Ron Barrett) of ''The Electric Company Magazine'', a companion piece to the television series. A couple of years later, Jacobs landed his first television job, writing for ''The Dick Cavett Show''. Jacobs then moved to Los Angeles, and began accumulating credits, writing for both variety shows and situation comedies.
