Woodley, Nairobi
Woodley is a residential neighbourhood in the city of Nairobi. It is approximately west of the central business district. It generally a low-density suburb that lies north of Africa's largest slum, Kibera. Woodley Estate was completed in 1950 and named after the then mayor of Nairobi, Sir Richard Woodley. Location Woodley Estate is located approximately west of Nairobi's central business district. Woodley Estate is straddled by Ngong Road to the south. It borders Kilimani Estate to the north, Golf Course to the east and Kibera to the south. Electorally, most of Woodley is placed under Kibra Constituency. Counties Of Kenya
The Counties of Kenya ( sw, Kaunti za Kenya) are geographical units envisioned by the 2010 Constitution of Kenya as the new units of devolved government that replaced the previous provincial system. The establishment and executive powers of the counties is provided in Chapter Eleven of the Constitution on devolved government, the Constitution's Fourth Schedule and any other legislation passed by the Senate of Kenya concerning counties. Westlands
Westlands is an affluent, mixed-use commercial and residential neighbourhood in Nairobi. Location Westlands is located approximately , by road, northwest of the central business district of Nairobi. Kitisuru is a residential suburb of Nairobi. The name Kitisuru comes from a nearby river "Gìtathurù" which was borrowed from the original inhabitants of the area who were mainly of the Kikuyu dialect. Karen is a suburb of Nairobi in Kenya, lying south-west of Nairobi central business district. The suburb of Karen borders the Ngong Forest and is home to the Ngong Racecourse. Karen and Langata jointly form a somewhat isolated area of mid to high-income residents. History Karen was previously within Ngong County. Bungalows
A bungalow is a small house or cottage that is either single-story or has a second story built into a sloping roof (usually with dormer windows), and may be surrounded by wide verandas. Kilimani is a mixed-use commercial and residential neighbourhood in the city of Nairobi. Location Kilimani is located approximately west of Nairobi's central business district, within Westlands Sub-county. It is north of Woodley; east of Kileleshwa, mainly separated by the Kirichwa River; the larger Kilimani area encompasses the Hurlingham, Caledonia, Upper Hill, and the Kilimani estates. Nairobi City County
Nairobi City County is one of the 47 counties of Kenya. Ngong Road
Ngong Road is a major road in Kenya that links the city of Nairobi to Ngong town. It runs from the Nairobi central business district all the way to the Ngong Stadium, passing by major places in Nairobi and Ngong such as the Kenyatta National Hospital, The Junction Mall, the Lang'ata Road roundabout in Karen and the Ngong Market. The road is currently a standard carriageway with two traffic lanes, but the Kenyan government plans to turn the road into a four-lane dual carriageway by February 2015, with financing from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, at a cost of KSh.1.68 billion/= (approx.
