Wong Kah Woh ( zh, s=黄家和, t=黃家和, p=Huáng Jiāhé, poj=N̂g Ka-hô; born 19 June 1980) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Taiping since November 2022. He served as Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) from August 2020 to October 2022 and Deputy Chairman of PAC from August 2018 to his promotion to the chairmanship in August 2020, MP for Ipoh Timor from May 2018 to November 2022 as well as Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Canning from March 2008 to May 2018. 2008 Perak State Election
The 12th Perak election was held on 8 March 2008. Polling took place in 59 constituencies throughout the State of Perak, with each electing a State Assemblyman to the Perak State Legislative Assembly. The election was conducted by the Malaysian Election Commission. The election proved to be a watershed in Perak's history, as the incumbent government from Barisan Nasional (BN) was handed an unprecedented and shocking defeat by the opposition, making the election the second time Perak's ruling party was voted out of power; the first was in 1969 when then Alliance Party failed to gain a majority against opposition parties.
