Women's Wrestling Army (WWA) is an American independent women's professional wrestling promotion, founded on April 14, 2022, by Maria Kanellis-Bennett. Kanellis is also the owner of the company alongside Bobby Cruise, a Ring of Honor (ROH) ring announcer. History On April 14, 2022, Maria Kanellis-Bennett teased on her social media a new project named Women's Wrestling Army (WWA), an all-woman wrestling promotion. On April 22, Bobby Cruise, mostly known as Ring of Honor (ROH) ring announcer, announced to join Kanellis' new promotion as a co-owner. Mary Louis "Maria" Kanellis-Bennett (born February 25, 1982) is an American Professional wrestling, professional wrestler, Manager (professional wrestling), professional wrestling manager, actress, model and former singer, She is best known for her time in Impact Wrestling where she was a member of Honor No More, and is known for her time with Ring of Honor (ROH) and WWE. The Hex are a professional wrestling tag team most known for working in National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), consisting of Allysin Kay and Marti Belle. They are former one-time NWA World Women's Tag Team Champions. Cathy Allison Corino (born March 31, 1977) is a Canadian retired professional wrestler and professional wrestling manager, better known by her ring name, Allison Danger. Camille Ligon (born July 21, 1986), known by her ring name Holidead, is an American professional wrestler. She is currently signed to Major League Wrestling (MLW). The NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship is a women's professional wrestling tag team championship defended in member promotions of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). History From the early 1950s through 1983, it was the first women's world tag team championship in professional wrestling and was initially referred to simply as the Women's World Tag Team Championship, before briefly adopting the NWA prefix. Bobby Cruise (born February 28, 1973) is an American professional wrestling ring announcer best known for his time with Ring of Honor. Career Cruise began his career on the independent circuit in New England in 1994.
