Women's World Invitational Tournament
The Women's World Invitation Tournament ( zh, 世界女子足球邀請賽), also known as the Chunghua Cup ( zh, 中華盃), was a triennial global invitational tournament for national and club teams in women's association football. It was held four times, in Taipei, Taiwan. History It was one of the most prestigious women's football events, prior to the advent of the Women's World Cup and Women's Olympic Football. The competitions were organised by the Chinese Taipei Football Association and their success brought pressure on the global governing body FIFA to organise its own women's football tournaments. SSG Bergisch Gladbach of West Germany was the most successful participant, with two titles. SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 is a German association football club from the city of Bergisch Gladbach in North Rhine-Westphalia. History The club was established in 1909 as ''Fußball Club Bergisch Gladbach'' and was joined that same year by the membership of ''FC Montania Bergisch-Gladbach''. Idrottslaget i Bondeungdomslaget i Oslo (also BUL, Oslo) is a sports club in Oslo, Norway, founded on 8 January 1913. It is one of several branches of Bondeungdomslaget i Oslo, a local chapter of Noregs Mållag and Noregs Ungdomslag. The Dallas Sting is an American-based international youth soccer club headquartered in the Dallas, Texas metropolitan area. Established for competitive amateur girl soccer players, it currently competes in the Elite Clubs National League, among others. Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi is a Finnish women's football team representing HJK Helsinki in the Kansallinen Liiga. HJK is the championship's most successful team by a large margin, having won 22 titles between 1971 (its founding year) and 2005. The team enjoyed their best winning streak between 1995 and 2001. Reims ( , , ; also spelled Rheims in English) is the most populous city in the French department of Marne, and the 12th most populous city in France. Chou Tai-ying
Chou Tai-ying (; born 16 August 1963) is a Taiwanese female association football coach and former player. She is considered the most successful Taiwanese footballer so far. Career She was Chinese Taipei's key player in the 1980s and early 1990s, winning three AFC Women's Championships (1977, 1979, 1981) and two OFC Women's Championships (1986, 1989). She was also one of the few Taiwanese players who have played for foreign professional clubs. In 1987, she joined the German football club SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 and won two championships. She joined Suzuyo Shimizu F.C. Ladies of Japanese L. League in 1989, in which Shimizu F.C.
