Women's National Football Conference
The Women's National Football Conference (WNFC) is an amateur full-contact Women's American football league in the United States. With teams across the United States, the WNFC had its first game in 2019 with fourteen regular teams and one exhibition team. League history The Women's National Football Conference was founded in 2018, with their inaugural season in 2019. On their website, the WNFC describes themselves as looking to create a standard of excellence and opportunities. The WNFC does not charge teams of players a fee for entry into the league; rather, teams are invited into the league based on quality of market, team, players and ownership. On December 10, 2018, the WNFC announced a partnership with Adidas, as part of the latter's "She Breaks Barriers" initiative. Michelle And Barack Obama Sports Complex
The Michelle and Barack Obama Sports Complex, previously known as the Rancho Cienega Recreation Center, is a multibuilding sports complex in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. The complex is named after Michelle Obama, Michelle and Barack Obama, where Barack Obama held a rally at the center in 2007. The complex neighbors Susan Miller Dorsey High School, who is partnered with them for its use in school events. History In 1936, plans for what would become the Rancho Cienega Playground was laid out, with construction beginning that same year. In 1937, the newly opened Susan Miller Dorsey High School partnered with the center to host its sporting events. Sports coach Benny Lefebvre served as a playground supervisor for the park in the 1930s. In 1998, the pool at the Center was renamed to the Celes King III Swimming Pool, honoring the businessman. Cottonwood High School (Murray, Utah)
Cottonwood High School is a public high school located in Murray, Utah, United States. The current enrollment is nearly 1700 and is the most diverse school in the Granite School District, and one of the most diverse in the state of Utah. The school offers traditional schooling for grades nine through twelve. A portion of the building is also leased to Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science (AMES), a charter high school. French Field is a multi-purpose stadium in the northwest United States, located in Kent, Washington, a suburb southeast of Seattle. It is a stadium for high school teams in the area including Kent-Meridian High School, Kentlake High School, Kentridge High School, and Kentwood High School football, soccer and track teams. Seattle Majestics
The Seattle Majestics are a women's American football team based in Seattle, Washington. The Seattle Majestics play in the WNFC. Home games are played at French Field on the campus of Kent Meridian High School in Kent, Washington. The team began as the Tacoma Majestics in 2002 before moving to Seattle in 2006 and merging with the former Women's American Football League franchise, the Seattle Warbirds. The franchise is currently owned by Scott McCarron. Sponsorships and fundraising under the team's non-profit 501c3 status provide finances for the team, but players also have to contribute. The Seattle Majestics have won the WFA's Pacific Northwest Division title four times, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. Balboa Stadium
Balboa Stadium is an American football and soccer stadium on the west coast of the United States, located in San Diego, California. Just east of San Diego High School, the original stadium was built in 1914 as part of the 1915 Panama–California Exposition, also in Balboa Park, with a capacity of 15,000.
