Sven Wollter
Sven Justus Fredrik Wollter (11 January 1934 – 10 November 2020) was a Swedish actor, writer, and political activist. Wollter is one of the most renowned Swedish actors, he was awarded Best Swedish actor twice. In his native country, he became widely known through his role as Madame Flod's son Gusten in Swedish Television's adaption of '' The People of Hemsö'' by August Strindberg in 1966. Later he had several notable roles, including in 1976 when he played Detective Sergeant Lennart Kollberg in Bo Widerberg's film ''The Man on the Roof''. For international viewers, he is best known for his role Victor in the dramatic film '' The Sacrifice'' by Andrei Tarkovsky, and for a wider television audience as the retired Detective Chief Inspector Van Veeteren in the cinematic adaptations of Håkan Nesser's police novels. Claes Brian Christopher Wollter (born 5 February 1972) is a Swedish actor and singer. He has had roles in the Swedish productions of ''West Side Story'' and ''Miss Saigon''. He has also appeared in several television productions. Early life Wollter was born on 5 February 1972 in Brunna, Sweden. He grew up in Lund and attended Lerbäckskolan and Spyken. As a teenager, Wollter was a reporter for the SVT children's television show '' Barnjournalen'' for a year. He graduated from the Högskolan för scen och musik (Academy of Music and Drama) at the University of Gothenburg in 1997. Wollter had previously studied at Kulturama in Stockholm. Karl-Anders Ingvar Wollter (7 May 1927 – 3 April 2017) was a Swedish diplomat. Early life Wollter was born on 7 May 1927 in Lund, Sweden, the son of Kjell Wollter, an editor, and his wife Elsa (née Ekwall). He was brother of actor Sven Wollter. He grew up on Solhöjdsgatan in Långedrag, Gothenburg. After his mandatory military service Wollter got a US scholarship and took a Bachelor of Arts degree in the United States in 1949. He was then an employee of SKF from 1949 to 1951 before he received a Candidate of Law degree from Lund University in 1955. Career Wollter became an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm in 1955 and served in Helsinki in 1956, Brussels and Antwerp in 1957, Oslo in 1959, at the Foreign Ministry in 1960, in Monrovia in 1961, at the Foreign Ministry again in 1963 and Moscow in 1966. ''Stina'' Margareta Ulrika Wollter (born 24 May 1964) is a Swedish artist, television presenter and author. She is the daughter of actor Sven Wollter. Wollter works mostly as an artist but also does illustration, speaker and radio presenting. She presents the radio show ''Söndagarna med Stina Wollter'' on P4 Stockholm for Sveriges Radio. She has also presented the radio show ''Karlavagnen''. She has competed in the SVT show ''På spåret'' along with her father.
