Gangjin
Gangjin County (''Gangjin-gun'') is a county in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. Gangjin county proper was established in 1895. The county office is located in Gangjin-eup. The Gangjin Kiln Sites are a noted area for the production of traditional Goryeo celadon, and annually a big festival and symposium on celadon porcelain at the Goryeo Celadon Museum with participants from all over the world takes place in Gangjin city. Additionally, it is the birthplace of Korean poet Yeongrang Kim Yun-sik, famous for his work in the 1930s and 1940s in the Jeolla dialect. The county bird is the magpie. The county flower is the camellia, and the county tree is the ginkgo. Yeongam
Yeongam () is a city and county in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. Bordered with Mokpo and Naju to the north, Jangheung County to the east, and Haenam and Gangjin to the south, Yeongam County comprises two '' eups'' and nine '' myeons'', populated with about 57,000 people, and its county hall is seated in Yeongam-eup. The Korean Grand Prix was held along the harbor side, at the Korea International Circuit from 2010 to 2013. The track has been designed by the famous race track designer Hermann Tilke. The circuit is part permanent, part temporary. Construction began in 2007, and was completed in September/October 2010. The circuit had a contract to host the Grand Prix until 2016. Dogapsa Temple
Dogapsa is a Buddhist temple in South Jeolla Province in Yeongam County, South Korea. History Established by Ven. Doseon Guksa and Reconstructed by Ven. Sumi Daesa Dogapsa Temple (; Pronounced “Do-gap-sa”) was established by Doseon Guksa, one of four eminent monks of Silla, in the 6th year of the reign of Silla's King Heongang. No records about it from the Goryeo era exist, but in 1456 in early Joseon Sumi Daesa rebuilt it into a large temple. Appointed National Preceptor by King Sejong, he reconstructed the temple with royal support so that it covered an area of 966 bays. In 1653, the stele of Doseon Sumi and the stele for the reconstruction of Dogapsa Temple's stone bridge were made. The inscriptions on both were written by Yi Gyeong-seok, Yi Su-in and Jeong Du-gyeong, who at that time were serving as Chief State Councilors and Ministers of Justice.
