Anne Yvonne Gilbert
Anne Yvonne Gilbert (born 1950/1951) is a British artist and book illustrator. Her cover design of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 1983 single "Relax" has been described as "one of the most famous record sleeves of all time". While much of her career since then has focused on illustrating the covers and interiors of popular books, Gilbert has also designed series of stamps produced by the Royal Mail depicting Christmas themes and Arthurian mythology. She illustrated several of the books in the '' Ologies'' series, among other children's books. Career Gilbert was born in Wallsend and lived in her grandparents' house with her parents. She attended Holy Cross School there as well as Ocean Road School in South Shields, eventually finishing at Morpeth Grammar School for Girls. Dugald Steer
Dugald A. Steer B.A. (Brist), S.A.S.D. (born 1965) is an English children's writer. Biography Early life and education Dugald Steer was born in 1965 and grew up in Surrey. He completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English literature and philosophy at Bristol University, then completed a TEFL course and lived in Spain for five years. Career After returning to the United Kingdom, Steer got a job with Templar Publishing, working his way up to become senior editor. At Templar, he wrote and edited many books, including numerous Ologies. He has since gone freelance in order to pursue writing for children and teaching. John Howe (illustrator)
John Howe (born August 21, 1957) is a Canadian book illustrator and conceptual designer, best-known for his artwork of J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. One year after graduating from high school, he studied in a college in Strasbourg, France, then at the École des arts décoratifs in the same town. Howe and Tolkien artist Alan Lee served as chief conceptual designers for Peter Jackson's ''The Lord of the Rings'' movie trilogy. Howe illustrated the ''Lord of the Rings'' board game created by Reiner Knizia, and re-illustrated the maps of ''The Lord of the Rings'', ''The Hobbit'', and ''The Silmarillion'' in 1996–2003. Nicole Perlman (born December 10, 1981) is an American screenwriter, best known for co-writing the Marvel Cinematic Universe film ''Guardians of the Galaxy'' (2014), and the story for Marvel's '' Captain Marvel'' (2019), and for ''Pokémon Detective Pikachu'' (2019).
