Dirty Pair
is a series of Japanese light novels (the first one being a fix-up) written by Haruka Takachiho and illustrated by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko that was later adapted into anime and manga versions. The first stories that make up the first volume were first published on the ''S-F Magazine''. The franchise has been published in multiple formats, and adapted into various other media, resulting in eight novels and several shorter stories, a television series, two OVA series, two OVA features, a feature film, a number of graphic novels, and two short Japanese radio series. The 1985 television series won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize for that year. The stories take place in the years 2138–43, by which time humanity has spread across some few thousand star systems. Haruka Takachiho
(born November 7, 1951 as in Nagoya, Japan) is a Japanese science fiction author and founder of Studio Nue. Takachiho is best known as the creator of ''Crusher Joe'', ''Dirty Pair'' and ''Dirty Pair Flash''. Helen McCarthy in ''500 Essential Anime Movies'' called him one of Japan's leading pulp novelists Takachiho established the anime production house Studio Nue in 1972, working as an anime producer and scenario writer, while still a student at Hosei University. He graduated three years later, in 1975, in social science. In 1977 Takachiho made his authorial debut with his novel "Crusher Joe: Rentai Wakusei Pizan no Kiki" ("Crusher Joe: Crisis on Solidarity Planet Pizan"). Two of Takachiho's stories have won Seiun Awards, "Daatipea no Dai Boken" ("Great Adventure of The Dirty Pair") for Best Japanese Short Story in 1980, and "Dirty Pair no Dai Gyakuten" ("The Dirty Pair Strike Again") for Best Japanese Novel in 1986. Meiko Nakahara
, real name (born May 8, 1959 in Chiba Prefecture), is a former Japanese singer and composer. Early life and career As early as grade school she was already composing her own music. She debuted in 1982 with the single and the album . Her 1984 single was the 50th best-selling single of the year in Japan, with 237,000 copies sold. She became instantly popular. Her song was the opening theme and was the ending theme for the 1985 anime television series ''Dirty Pair''. Ro Ro Ro Russian Roulette won the award for Best Song at the 8th Anime Grand Prix in 1986. ''Flowers for Algernon'' is a short story by American author Daniel Keyes, later expanded by him into a novel and subsequently adapted for film and other media. Miho Morikawa
is a Japanese singer and model. Biography Miho Morikawa got her start at the age of 17 after winning a singing contest, which led to her first album, called ''Sentimental Times'', in 1986. Soon after her debut, she started writing lyrics and eventually composing some of the songs as well. On her EP ''Holiday'', Miho played the blues harp in some songs.
