''With Love, Chér'' is the fourth studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released on October 23, 1967 by Imperial Records. The album was a moderate commercial success and reached number 47 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 Album information ''With Love, Chér'' was released in 1967, was produced by Sonny Bono and was issued by the Liberty Records subsidiary, Imperial Records. Once again the formula of cover songs and a new song written by Bono exclusively for Cher is used. On these tracks her voice is smooth and strong, but the sales failed to match the success of previous albums. Four singles were released from the album: the cover "Behind The Door" and "Hey Joe" and two songs written by Bono, "Mama (When My Dollies Have Babies)" and her last big hit of the decade "You Better Sit Down Kids". Billy Roberts
William Moses Roberts Jr. (August 16, 1936 – October 7, 2017) was an American songwriter and musician credited with composing the 1960s rock music standard "Hey Joe" (of which the best-known version is the hit by The Jimi Hendrix Experience). Biography Roberts attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina but left school for the life of an itinerant musician. He learned to play the 12-string guitar and blues harmonica, on which he claimed to have been tutored by Sonny Terry. In the early 1960s he went to New York's Greenwich Village where he busked on the street and played in coffeehouses. It was there that he composed the song "Hey, Joe," which he copyrighted in 1962. Philip David Ochs (; December 19, 1940 – April 9, 1976) was an American songwriter and protest singer (or, as he preferred, a topical singer). "There but for Fortune" is a song by American folk musician Phil Ochs. Ochs wrote the song in 1963 and recorded it twice, for ''New Folks Volume 2'' (Vanguard, 1964) and ''Phil Ochs in Concert'' ( Elektra, 1966). Joan Baez also recorded "There but for Fortune" in 1964, and her version of the song became a chart hit.
