Eliot Howe
Eliot Callender Howe (1882-1921) was an American director of silent films. Biography Howe was born on December 23, 1882, in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Throop College (now California Institute of Technology) in Pasadena, California. On January 1, 1914, he married actress Janice Vincent, (born Alpha Omega Howe) in Venice, California. The couple had one son, Eliot E., born in 1921. Howe died of a heart attack on December 18, 1921, in Los Angeles, shortly after completing the film ''Wild Fire''. Anna Mae Walthall
Anna Mae Walthall (3 October 1894–17 April 1950) (also billed as Anna May Walthall) was an American actress of silent films, appearing in 24 films from 1914 to 1926. She was born as Anna May Walthall in 1894 (possibly in 1890) on a cotton plantation owned by her father in Shelby County in Alabama, the second youngest of eleven children of Junius Leigh Walthall, a former officer in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, and Anne Mallory née Wallace. Her older brother was the actor Henry B. Walthall. In 1911 aged 18 she married Robert Lee Rhodes in La Junta in Colorado. The marriage was later dissolved. Many of her film roles were Pre-Hays Code, in which she appeared in see-through sheer clothing semi-nude. Her first film was an unnamed party guest in ''Ethel's Roof Party'' (1914), quickly followed by ''Ethel Has a Steady'' (1914). Clifford Leopold Alexander Jr. (September 21, 1933 – July 3, 2022) was an American lawyer, businessman and public servant from New York City. He first served on the United States National Security Council, National Security Council during the Presidency of John F. Kennedy, Kennedy administration, before becoming chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 1967. Jack Standing (10 February 1886 – 25 October 1917) was an English born American actor. Biography The son of stage actor Herbert Standing and brother of Wyndham Standing (1880–1963), who also was a famous actor in the early days of film, Jack Standing first appeared in Broadway musicals such as '' The Belle of New York'' and ''Florodora'' before he went to the Biograph Company in 1909. Because he was a handsome young man, he was quickly offered many roles and signed a contract with Sigmund Lubin in 1911. Like many others from the silent film, Standing was asked to play quite everything from passionate lovers to villains or old men. In 1915, he told the ''Moving Picture World'' magazine, "Spare me from being a one-type actor!" He appeared in more than fifty films.
