State Trunk Highway 37 (often called Highway 37, STH-37 or WIS 37) is a state highway in Buffalo and Eau Claire counties in the west-central area of the US state of Wisconsin that runs generally north-northeasterly from Alma to Eau Claire. The southern from Mondovi (the only significant settlement along the course of the highway) to Alma generally follows the course of the Buffalo River. Route description WIS 37 closely follows in a south-southwest to north-northeast direction. WIS 37 begins at Wisconsin Highway 35/ Great River Road in Alma. Carson Park (Eau Claire, Wisconsin)
Carson Park is a historic park located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It is located on a peninsula created on an oxbow lake, Half Moon Lake, which was part of the former course of the Chippewa River. The park contains baseball, football, and softball venues, as well as the Chippewa Valley Museum. History The land that became Carson Park was donated in 1914 to the city of Eau Claire by heirs to lumber baron William Carson, and named in his honor. The park was opened the following year. Construction of a sports complex, including a baseball stadium, football stadium and tennis courts, began in 1935 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project. The first game in the football stadium was played in 1936, and the first game in the baseball stadium was played in 1937. The University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire (UW–Eau Claire, UWEC or simply Eau Claire) is a public university in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Interstate 94 (I-94) runs east–west through the western, central, and southeastern portions of the US state of Wisconsin. A total of of I-94 lie in the state. Route description The route, cosigned with US Highway 12 (US 12), enters from Minnesota just east of the Twin Cities. The route passes north of Menomonie and south of Eau Claire before turning southeast and heading toward Tomah where it joins I-90. The two Interstates run concurrently for the next to Madison. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons.
