Wisconsin Highway 25
State Trunk Highway 25 (often called Highway 25, STH-25 or WIS 25) is a state highway in Wisconsin, United States. The route serves local traffic in the western part of the state, connecting Durand, Menomonie and Barron. It is two-lane surface road with the exception of urban multilanes within Menomonie. Route description WIS 25 begins at the Minnesota state line in Buffalo County on the Mississippi River. The route enters the state from Trunk Highway 60. WIS 25 briefly follows WIS 35 north in Nelson then follows the Chippewa River, passing through Maxville and entering Pepin County. After about three miles (5 km), WIS 25 enters Durand and joins US 10 west. After two miles (3 km) of concurrency, WIS 25 turns off northeast and enters Dunn County four miles (6 km) northeast. Nelson is a village in Buffalo County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 374 at the 2010 census. The village is surrounded by the Town of Nelson. Downsville, Wisconsin
Downsville is an unincorporated census-designated place in the town of Dunn, in Dunn County, Wisconsin, United States, where Highway 25 crosses the Red Cedar River. As of the 2010 census, its population was 146. The community was founded in 1855. Around that time, Ebenezer Thompson tried to dam the Red Cedar, but his half-built dam was destroyed by a flood. State Trunk Highway 170 (often called Highway 170, STH-170 or WIS 170) is a state highway in St. Croix and Dunn counties in Wisconsin, United States that runs east–west from Glenwood City to near Colfax.
