Wisconsin's 3rd Assembly District
The 3rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the north half of Calumet County, and parts of southeast Outagamie County and northwest Manitowoc County. It includes the city of Brillion and parts of the cities of Appleton and Menasha, as well as the villages of Combined Locks, Kimberly, Hilbert, Potter, and Sherwood. The district is represented by Republican Ron Tusler, since January 2017. The 3rd Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 1st Senate district, along with the 1st and 2nd Assembly districts. De Pere, Wisconsin
De Pere ( ) is a city located in Brown County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 25,410 according to the 2020 Census. De Pere is part of the Green Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area. History At the arrival of the first European, Jean Nicolet, who visited the place in 1634–1635, De Pere was the site of a polyglot settlement of several thousand attracted by the fishing at the first rapids of the Fox River. In 1671 French Jesuit explorer Père Claude-Jean Allouez founded the St. Francis Xavier Mission at the last set of rapids on the Fox River before it enters The Bay of Green Bay. The site was known as Rapides Des Pères (rapids of the fathers) which became modern day De Pere. The present city of De Pere had its beginnings in 1836, when John Penn Arndt and Charles Tullar incorporated the De Pere Hydraulic Company and drew up the first plat of the town. Alan Lasee
Alan J. Lasee (born July 30, 1937) is a retired American dairy farmer and Republican politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate for 33 years, representing Wisconsin's 1st Senate district, and served as President of the Senate for the 96th and 97th Wisconsin legislatures (2003–2007). Biography Lasee was born in the town of Rockland, Brown County, Wisconsin, and attended St. Norbert High School. He is married and has six children. He is a former dairy farmer and member of many Brown County organizations. He also raises exotic animals including llamas, camels, miniature donkeys, and fainting goats. Brown County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 268,740, making it the fourth-most populous county in Wisconsin. The county seat is Green Bay, making it one of three Wisconsin counties on Lake Michigan not to have a county seat with the same name.
