Wisconsin's 13th Assembly District
The 13th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of western Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Milwaukee County and eastern Waukesha County, Wisconsin, Waukesha County. It contains the city of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Brookfield and the village of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, Elm Grove, and part of western Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, Wauwatosa. The district is represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Tom Michalski, since January 2023. The 13th Assembly district is located within Wisconsin Senate, District 5, Wisconsin's 5th Senate district, along with the Wisconsin Assembly, District 14, 14th and Wisconsin Assembly, District 15, 15th Assembly districts. Wisconsin Assembly, District 14
The 14th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of western Milwaukee County. It includes most of the city of Wauwatosa and about half of West Allis. The district is represented by Democrat Robyn Vining, since January 2019. The 14th Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 5th Senate district, along with the 13th and 15th Assembly districts. History The district was created in the 1972 redistricting act1971 Wisc. Act 304 which first established the numbered district system, replacing the previous system which allocated districts to specific counties. The 14th district was drawn mostly in line with the previous Milwaukee County 9th district, but removed all wards of the city of Glendale and added more wards from the city of Milwaukee, from what had previously been the Milwaukee County 18th district. Sara Rodriguez
Sara Rodriguez (born July 25, 1975) is an American registered nurse, health care executive, and Democratic politician. She is the 46th and incumbent lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, having been elected on a ticket with Governor Tony Evers in the 2022 election. She previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 13th Assembly district during the 2021 session. Early life and education Rodriguez was born and raised in the Milwaukee metropolitan area in southeast Wisconsin. She graduated from Brookfield East High School and earned her B.A. in neuroscience from Illinois Wesleyan University. Rob Hutton
Robert Hutton (born April 7, 1967) is an American businessman and Republican politician from Waukesha County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, representing the 5th Senate district since January 2023. He previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2013 through 2020. David Cullen (politician)
David A. Cullen (born February 1, 1960) is an American lawyer who is serving as the current Treasurer of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Prior to his election, Cullen served as a Democratic member of the Wisconsin State Assembly after winning a special election in May 1990. Cullen was elected in April 2012 to a seat on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, which he held until taking office as County Treasurer. Thomas Seery (born February 19, 1945) is a lawyer and former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Background Seery was born on February 19, 1945, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dismas Becker
Dismas Becker (September 16, 1936 – September 19, 2010) was an American Democratic politician, civil rights activist, and former Discalced Carmelite friar and Catholic priest from Wisconsin. Life and career Born Paul Vincent Becker in 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after graduating from high school he entered the Order of Discalced Carmelites, where he received the religious name of Dismas, named for the Good Thief depicted in the New Testament at the Crucifixion of Jesus. He had his name changed legally in 1986. He graduated from St. Francis Seminary, becoming ordained a priest in 1964, and later earned a Master's degree in Sociology from Marquette University. Butler is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,841 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census. History The village of Butler exists due to the railroad. It began in the season of fall in 1909, when people from the Milwaukee, Sparta, and North Western Railway (a division of the Chicago and North Western Railway) visited farmers living on the eastern area of 124th Street and bought their land to start railroad yards around the City of Milwaukee to relieve congestion in the downtown rail yards. These railroad yards were called "New Butler". Butler was probably named for William Butler, a large property owner in the area who had emigrated from England in the mid-1840s.
