The 62nd Assembly district of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in Southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises part of eastern Racine County, Wisconsin, Racine County, including the northern half of the city of Racine, Wisconsin, Racine, along with the villages of North Bay, Wisconsin, North Bay and Wind Point, Wisconsin, Wind Point, and parts of southern Caledonia, Wisconsin, Caledonia and northeast Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, Mount Pleasant. The Johnson Wax Headquarters is the corporate headquarters of the household goods company S. C. Johnson & Son in Racine, Wisconsin, United States. The original headquarters includes two buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright: the Administration Building, completed in April 1939, and the Research Tower, completed in November 1950. Tom Weatherston
Tom Weatherston (born February 15, 1950) is an American industrial engineer and Republican politician. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2013 through 2019, representing the northern half of Racine County. Early life Born in Buffalo, New York, Weatherston served in the United States Air Force as a civil engineer and was stationed in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He went to Erie Community College, where he received an associate degree. He then graduated from Buffalo State College, where he received his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. In 1977, Weatherston was hired by the Modine Manufacturing Company and moved to Racine, Wisconsin. Mosinee is a city in Marathon County, Wisconsin, United States. It is part of the Wausau, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,452 at the time of the 2020 census. History Early history The traditional inhabitants of the area were the Ojibwe, the Potawatomi and the Menominee. However, the name is the Hochunk Mōsį́nį, the "Cold Country," from ''mō'', an old form of ''mą'', meaning "earth, ground, land, country"; and ''sį́nį'', "cold."
