This is a complete list of seasons competed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, a Canadian Football League team. While the team was founded in 1930, they did not join the CFL until it was founded in 1958. Throughout their history, the Blue Bombers have won 12 Grey Cups. Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are a professional Canadian football team based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Blue Bombers compete in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member club of the league's West division. They play their home games at IG Field. The Blue Bombers were founded in 1930 as the Winnipeg Rugby Football Club, later changed to the Winnipeg Football Club, which is the organization's legal name. The Blue Bombers are one of three community owned teams, without shareholders, in the CFL. Since their establishment, the Blue Bombers have won the league's Grey Cup championship 12 times, most recently in 2021 CFL season when they defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33–25 in the 108th Grey Cup. The team holds the record for most Grey Cup appearances of any team (26) and were the first club in Western Canada to win a championship. 25th Grey Cup
The 25th Grey Cup was played on December 11, 1937, before 11,522 fans at Varsity Stadium at Toronto. The Toronto Argonauts defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 4–3. Until 2021, this was the latest in the calendar year that any Grey Cup was played. The record was broken by one day at the 108th Grey Cup, which was played on December 12 due to the 2021 CFL season being delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. Western Interprovincial Football Union
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. There were also two now-defunct teams from the mid 1990s United States expansion of the CFL who played in the West Division. Additionally, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have played three separate stints in the East Division, during seasons in which the divisions needed to be rebalanced due league expansion, contraction, or reorganization.
