Wings (BTS Album)
''Wings'' is the second Korean studio album by South Korean boy band BTS. The album was released on October 10, 2016, by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in four versions and contains fifteen tracks, with "Blood Sweat & Tears" serving as its lead single. Heavily influenced by Hermann Hesse's coming of age novel, ''Demian'', the concept album thematically deals with temptation and growth. It was later reissued as a repackage album, titled ''You Never Walk Alone'', on February 13, 2017, a continuation of the canon for ''Wings''. Three new songs were added to the track listing, with " Spring Day" and " Not Today" promoted as the lead singles. Both albums received positive reviews from critics. "Blood Sweat & Tears" (; Japanese: ; Hepburn: ''Chi, ase, namida'') is a song recorded in two languages (Korean and Japanese) by South Korean boy band BTS. It was written by "Hitman" Bang, Kim Do-hoon, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Pdogg, with the latter of the six solely handling production. The Korean version was released on October 10, 2016, as the lead single from the band's second studio album, ''Wings'' (2016), by Big Hit Entertainment. The Japanese version of the song was released on May 10, 2017, through Universal Music Japan, as a single album that included the B-side tracks " Spring Day" and " Not Today", both also in Japanese. Min Yoon-gi (; born March 9, 1993), known professionally by his stage names Suga (stylized in all caps) and Agust D, is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and record producer. Managed by Big Hit Music, he debuted as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS in 2013. In 2016, he released his first solo mixtape, '' Agust D''. Kim Tae-hyung (; born December 30, 1995), also known professionally as V, is a South Korean singer and a member of the boy band BTS. V has released three solo tracks under the band's name: "Stigma" in 2016, " Singularity" in 2018, and "Inner Child" in 2020, all of which have charted on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart.
