The Wingate Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent Wingate University, located in Wingate, North Carolina, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. Wingate University is a private Baptist university with campuses in Wingate, Charlotte, and Hendersonville, North Carolina. The 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship was the 45th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of NCAA Division II men's collegiate soccer in the United States. The semifinals and championship game were played at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri from December 1–3, 2016 while the preceding rounds were played at various sites across the country during November 2016. NCAA Women's Division II Swimming And Diving Championships
The Women's Division II NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships are college championship events in the USA. The event is held annually, and it consists of individual and team championships in a range of events in women's swimming and diving for swimmers from Division II universities. The meets take place in a 25-yard pool. History Swimming was one of twelve women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981–82 school year, as the NCAA engaged in battle with the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women for sole governance of women's collegiate sports. Central Missouri Mules
The sports teams at the University of Central Missouri are known as the Mules (men) and Jennies (women). They participate in the NCAA's Division II and in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. NCAA women’s bowling competes in division I. Origin of nickname When the 1921–22 school year began, school officials decided "Normals" and "Teachers" were no longer appropriate nicknames for Central's athletic teams. Therefore, the school's athletic committee established a contest that promised the winner a three-year postgraduate subscription of the school newspaper. More than 80 suggestions were received, but the winning entry was submitted by John Thomason of Chilhowee, Missouri, Class of 1924, who felt that at least one Missouri team should be known as "Mules". The Charleston Golden Eagles, known previously as the Harvey Mudd Golden Eagles, are the athletic teams that represent the University of Charleston, located in Charleston, West Virginia, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship is the annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. It has been played annually since 1972; prior to then, all teams competed in a single class. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. Punt, Pass, And Kick
Punt, pass and kick (PP&K) was a skills competition offered by the US National Football League for children aged 6 to 15. Overview PP&K began in 1961 and at one time, event highlights were shown by CBS Sports as part of its NFL coverage. The contest received renewed attention in 1995 when Kendra Wecker, a 12-year-old girl from Kansas, made the finals in her age group and competed on an equal basis with male competitors. PP&K later had separate competitions for boys and girls in five different age groups. Winners in each age group are determined by the total distance of their punts, passes, and kicks, as the name implies. The national finals competition involves one contestant from each age group sponsored by each of the NFL's 32 teams.
