Windward Mall
Windward Mall is an enclosed shopping center located in Kāneohe, Hawaii, anchored by Macy's, and Regal Cinemas. The mall, owned by Kamehameha Schools, was managed by General Growth Properties until 2011 when General Growth Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle entered an agreement to transfer managership to Jones Lang LaSalle. The mall underwent a significant $23 million renovation in 2006 to improve the interior and add new retail tenants. On April 15, 2019, it was announced that Sears would be closing on April 30, 2019. The former Sears space will soon be replaced with a new Target store, which is slated to open in 2022. On January 4, 2023, it was announced that Macy's would shutter. Kaneohe, Hawaii
Kāneohe () is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and located in Hawaii state District of Koolaupoko on the island of Oahu. In the Hawaiian language, ''kāne ohe'' means "bamboo man". According to an ancient Hawaiian story a local woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo; thus the place was named Kāneohe or "bamboo man". The population was 37,430 at the 2020 census. Kāneohe is the largest of several communities along Kāneohe Bay and one of the two largest residential communities on the windward side of Oahu (the other is Kailua). The commercial center of the town is spread mostly along Kamehameha Highway. From ancient times, Kāneohe was important as an agricultural area, owing to an abundance of rainfall. Kahala Mall
Kahala Mall is an indoor shopping mall in the Kāhala neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii on the East Side of the island of Oahu. In addition to its service as a major shopping center, Kahala Mall also serves as a key stop on a number of TheBus routes. It is located on Waialae Avenue, near the point at which Interstate H1 becomes Kalanianaole Highway. History Opening in November 1954 as Waialae Shopping Center, it was renovated in 1969-1970 by Philip Lyon, Gordon and Company and became known as Kahala Mall. It once included the first F.W. Woolworth Company dime store in Hawaii. Waialae Bowl, the only bowling center within several miles of the neighborhood, at one time operated at the mall, but has since closed.
