Windsor Road Cycleway
The Windsor Road cycleway is a predominantly off-road cyclepath between Parramatta Park and Macquarie Street, that is generally aligned with the Windsor Road and Old Windsor Road. Route The cycleway accesses the North-West T-way between Darcy Road, to Windsor. Some major road crossings are required, particularly on Old Windsor Road but all are controlled by traffic lights. There are connections to the Parramatta Valley cycleway via Parramatta Park, Toongabbie and Girraween Creek via McCoy Park, Toongabbie Creek cycleway, Blacktown via Sunnyholt Road cycleway and to the M7 cycleway at . Between the stretch from Westmead to Rouse Hill there are some 26 traffic light controlled road crossings and therefore riding along this cycleway is a very stop-start process. There is a steep climb from Abbott Road up to Seven Hills Road when travelling north. Parramatta Valley Cycleway
The Parramatta Valley cycleway is a shared-use path for cyclists and pedestrians that is generally aligned with the Parramatta River in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The eastern terminus of the cycleway is at Morrison Bay Park in and heads west along dedicated bike paths, quiet streets and the river foreshore to its western terminus at Parramatta Park in Parramatta. Route There is a short on-road section along Lancaster Avenue Melrose Park, and elevated steel mesh boardwalks through Ermington Nature Reserve. There used to be a further short on-road section via Pike Street and South Street Rydalmere to Subiaco Creek, but this is no longer the case since the Subiaco Creek link opened in June 2017. Blacktown
Blacktown is a suburb in the City of Blacktown, in Greater Western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blacktown is located west of the Sydney central business district. It is one of the most multicultural places within Greater Sydney. History Prior to the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, the area of today's Blacktown was inhabited by different groups of the Darug people including the Warmuli, based around what is now Prospect, and their neighbours the Gomerigal from the South Creek area and the Wawarawarry from the Eastern Creek area. North-West T-way
The North-West T-way is a continuous series of bus-only lanes and bus roadways between Parramatta, Blacktown and Rouse Hill in Western Sydney. Opened in stages between March and November 2007, the T-way was the second bus rapid transit route to be built in Sydney after the Liverpool–Parramatta T-way. Alignment The T-way follows Old Windsor Road north from Westmead Hospital. At Memorial Avenue, Kellyville, the route branches, with one branch continuing north along Old Windsor and Windsor roads to Rouse Hill Town Centre and the other heading west along Sunnyholt Road to Blacktown. The alignment includes 10 new bridges and two new underpasses. Three of the T-way's 24 route-kilometres are bus lanes on existing roads. M7 Cycleway
The M7 cycleway is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians that is generally aligned with the Westlink M7 in Greater Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The southern terminus of the cycleway is located adjacent to the Camden Valley Way at Prestons, while the northern terminus is located adjacent to the Old Windsor Road at . Children's Hospital At Westmead
The Children's Hospital at Westmead (formerly Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children) is a children's hospital in Western Sydney. The hospital was founded in 1880 as "The Sydney Hospital for Sick Children". Its name was changed to the "Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children" on 4 January 1904 when King Edward VII granted use of the appellation ‘Royal’ and his consort, Queen Alexandra, consented to the use of her name. Westmead Hospital is a major tertiary hospital in Sydney, Australia. Opened on 10 November 1978, the 975-bed hospital forms part of the Western Sydney Local Health District, and is a teaching hospital of Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney.
