Windsor Lake
Windsor Lake is a provincial electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador. As of 2011 there are 14,187 people living in the district. Windsor Lake includes part of the city of St. John's suburban east end, covering the neighbourhoods of Clovelly Trails, Anne Jeannette, Airport Heights, Ricketts Bridge, Spruce Meadows, Kents Pond, Bells Turn and Little Canada. The district was created following the 2015 electoral districts boundaries review. The district includes parts of the former districts of Cape St. Francis, Conception Bay East-Bell Island, St. John's East, St. John's North, and Virginia Waters. John Hogan (Newfoundland And Labrador Politician)
John Hogan is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly in the 2021 provincial election. He represents the electoral district of Windsor Lake as a member of the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador. Hogan is a graduate of Memorial University (BSc, 2000) and Dalhousie University (LLB, 2003). Hogan was called to the Ontario bar in 2004. He then returned to Newfoundland and Labrador where he was called to the bar in 2005. In 2014, Hogan started his own law firm, WPH Law. Virginia Waters (electoral District)
Virginia Waters is a defunct provincial electoral district for the House of Assembly of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The district was represented by former premier Kathy Dunderdale. A residential district in the northeast end of St. John's, the area included Airport Heights, Wedgewood Park, residential areas off Newfoundland Drive, as well as a fairly wealthy enclave near Virginia Lake. The district was created in 1995 from parts of the districts of Pleasantville, St. John's East Extern and Mount Scio Road-Bell Island. Virginia Waters retained 80 per cent of its original territory in the 2007 redistribution, while taking in 14 per cent of Cape St. Francis. Ronald E. "Ryan" Cleary (born November 20, 1966) is a Canadian politician and journalist from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. He was the Member of Parliament for St. John's South—Mount Pearl from 2011 to 2015. Born in Gander and raised in Riverhead, Harbour Grace, and Bay Roberts, Cleary graduated from the journalism program at the Stephenville campus of the College of the North Atlantic in 1989. On May 2, 2011, Cleary was elected to the House of Commons as a member of the New Democratic Party in the 2011 election. Virginia Waters (foaled 15 February 2002) is an American-bred, Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. In a racing career which lasted from September 2004 to October 2005 she ran twelve times and won three races. After winning once from four starts as a two-year-old, she won the Group Three Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes on her first appearance of 2005. She then recorded her most important success when winning the Classic 1000 Guineas two of her six races including an upset win in the Group Two Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket Racecourse.
