New Windsor Historic District
New Windsor Historic District is a national historic district at New Windsor, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The district contains a wide variety of domestic, commercial, public, educational, and religious resources reflecting the development of the town from its founding in 1796 up to the World War II era. Most common homes are 2- or -story center-entrance or center-passage plan dwellings, of both three and five bays, and three-bay side-passage plan houses. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. Windsor Village Historic District (Windsor, Vermont)
The Windsor Village Historic District is a historical district in the center of Windsor, Vermont, Windsor, Vermont. It includes several dozen properties which were built in the 18th, the 19th, and in the beginning of the 20th centuries, built in different architectural styles. The district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 23, 1975. Originally, the district was designated along Main Street, Depot Avenue, and State Street through and including Court Square. Later, Phelps Ct. was added. History In 1777, in the Old Constitution House, which is a part of the district, the constitution of the Vermont Republic was drafted. Windsor Hills Historic District is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a cohesive residential suburb defined by rolling topography, winding, picturesque streets, stone garden walls, walks and private alley ways, early-20th century garden apartments, duplexes, and freestanding residences. Structures are predominantly of frame construction with locally quarried stone foundations. Windsor Hills developed over a period from about 1895 through 1929. The dominant styles include Shingle cottages, Dutch Colonial Revival houses, Foursquares, and Craftsman Bungalows. The Windsor Court Historic District is a residential historic district in Southbridge, Massachusetts, United States. It is a collection of five three-family residences located on Windsor Court and adjacent North Street that were built by the American Optical Company between 1915 and 1917 to provide worker housing. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. Description and history Windsor Court is a short spur road on the south side of North Street, which runs east–west north of Southbridge's downtown and south of the Quinebaug River. Between the road and the river stands part of the former manufacturing facility of the American Optical Company, once Southbridge's leading employer. The Windsor Road Historic District is a residential historic district just north of the village of Waban in Newton, Massachusetts.It includes 48 houses on Windsor, Kent and Hereford Roads, a cul-de-sac subdivision adjacent to the village center and the Brae Burn Country Club, which was mostly developed between 1888 and 1920.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Description and history The Windsor Road area was among the landholdings of William Strong, a farmer and real estate developer, who acquired in 1875. He actively promoted the construction of the Circuit Railroad (now the MBTA Green Line D branch), which arrived in 1888, and formed the nucleus of Waban village.
