The Vankor 350 was a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The 1999 race was 300 kilometers and the 2000 race was 400 kilometers, and became 350 kilometers in 2001. The race moved to the spring for the 2019 season. Past winners *2000: Greg Biffle clinched the 2000 series title in this race; additionally, driver Tony Roper (racing driver), Tony Roper was severely injured in a crash on lap 33, and died the following day, becoming the third NASCAR fatality that year. *2001: Race postponed from September 15 because of the September 11 attacks. *2006, 2007, 2011 & 2014: Race extended because of a green–white–checker finish. *2020: Race postponed from March 27 to July 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Travis Kvapil
Travis Wade Kvapil ( ; born March 1, 1976) is an American professional stock car driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 1 Chevrolet Silverado for Beaver Motorsports. He was the 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion. Early career Kvapil grew up working on cars in his father's garage, and racing was a natural progression for the Wisconsin native. Kvapil began racing in 1992 at the age of 16 at Rockford Speedway, competing in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. He went on to win the American Short Tracker division track championship in 1994 at Rockford. In 1995, he moved up to super late models at Madison International Speedway, "Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile", and was named the track Rookie of the Year. Clint Bowyer
Clinton Edward Bowyer (born May 30, 1979) is an American former professional stock car racing driver and commentator for ''NASCAR on Fox''. He competed in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2005 to 2020, driving for Richard Childress Racing for eight years, Michael Waltrip Racing for four years, HScott Motorsports for one year, and Stewart-Haas Racing for four years. Bowyer won the 2008 Nationwide Series championship driving for RCR. Following the 2020 season, Bowyer became an analyst for Fox Sports' NASCAR coverage. The 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was the eleventh season of the Craftsman Truck Series, the third highest stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in the United States. Ted Musgrave of Ultra Motorsports was crowned the season's champion. A rule change affected the qualification process in 2005. The top 30 teams in the owners' standings at the end of the 2004 season saw their drivers qualify automatically for the first four races of the season, provided they attempted all races in the previous year. However, only 29 teams met the criteria, so at the start of the season, one additional spot was available for the remaining teams on the entry list. Todd Bodine
Todd Martin Bodine (born February 27, 1964) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 62 Toyota Tundra for Halmar Friesen Racing, and current racing analyst for Fox NASCAR. Todd is the younger brother of former racers Geoffrey and Brett Bodine. Bodine is known for his bald head, which has given him the nickname The Onion. Early career Bodine would make his Busch Series debut in 1986, for Pistone Racing at Martinsville.
