Willy Signori E Vengo Da Lontano
''Willy Signori e vengo da lontano'' is a 1989 Italian romantic comedy film directed by Francesco Nuti. For his performance Alessandro Haber won the Nastro d'Argento for best supporting actor. Plot Willy Signori is a journalist in Milan, bored with his work, involved in a romantic relationship that has no more romance left, only routine, and a paraplegic brother under his care, constantly asking to "move to Africa where the warm climate will help my poor legs". One night, Willy is involved in a car crash, accidentally killing the other car's driver. The following day Lucia, the victim's girlfriends, angrily confronts Willy in his office, accusing him of being a murderer. Willy keeps his cool and tries to financially and morally support Lucia to recover from her shock, as he feels guilty because she is pregnant from the dead boyfriend. Francesco Nuti
Francesco Nuti (born 17 May 1955) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. Biography Born in Prato, Nuti began his professional career as an actor in the late 1970s, when he formed the cabaret group ''Giancattivi'' together with Alessandro Benvenuti and Athina Cenci. The group took part in the TV shows ''Black Out'' and ''Non Stop'' for RAI TV, and shot their first feature film, '' West of Paperino'' (1981), written and directed by Benvenuti. The following year Nuti abandoned the trio and began a solo career with three movies directed by Maurizio Ponzi: '' What a Ghostly Silence There Is Tonight'' (1982), ''The Pool Hustlers'' (1982) and '' Son contento'' (1983). Donald George Powell (born 10 September 1946) is an English musician who was the drummer for glam rock and later hard rock group Slade for over fifty years. Early life As a child, Powell joined the Boy Scouts where he became interested in the drums after being asked to join the band on a Sunday morning parade. After attending Etheridge Secondary Modern School he studied Metallurgy at Wednesbury Technical College. Powell then worked as a metallurgist in a small foundry before turning professional as a drummer. He was athletic and a keen amateur boxer, although an easy going personality. Novello Novelli (2 March 1930 – 10 January 2018) was an Italian character actor. Life and career Born in Poggibonsi, province of Siena, as Novellantonio Novelli, a former footballer and surveyor, Novelli initially was the manager of the cabaret group "I Giancattivi" consisting of Francesco Nuti, Athina Cenci and Alessandro Benvenuti. In 1981, he made his acting debut in the Giancattivi's film ''West of Paperino'', then, after the group disbanded, Novelli remained associated to Nuti, appearing in almost all his films. He also worked with Benvenuti, being critically appreciated for his performances in ''Welcome to Home Gori'' and its sequel, ''Return to Home Gori''. Death Novelli died in Poggibonsi on 10 January 2018, aged 87.
