William "Willy" Rovelli (born 18 March 1975) is a French actor, writer, columnist, comedian, and television personality. He is the chef on the French television game show '' Fort Boyard''. Early life William Rovelli was born on 18 March 1975 in Cluses, Haute-Savoie and spent his childhood in Annecy. When he was 17, he moved to Paris. Bataclan (theatre)
The Bataclan () is a theatre located at 50 Boulevard Voltaire in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, France. Designed in 1864 by the architect Charles Duval, its name refers to '' Ba-ta-clan'', an operetta by Jacques Offenbach. Since the early 1970s, it has been a venue for rock music. On 13 November 2015, 90 people were killed in a coordinated terrorist attack in the theatre. History Origin and use The Bataclan originated as a large '' café-concert'' in the Chinoiserie style, with the café and theatre on the ground floor and a large dance hall at first-floor level. Its original name was Grand Café Chinois. The French name "Bataclan" refers to the Offenbach operetta, but it is also a pun on the expression ''tout le bataclan'' (the "kit and caboodle", or "all that jazz", or "the whole nine yards"), the oldest written use of which predates Offenbach by almost a century, in a journal entry of 11 November 1761 by Charles Simon Favart. Cluses
Cluses (; frp, Clluses) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeastern France. Citizens are known as ''Clusiens''. The commune is situated in the Arve Valley, on the river which bears the same name. Cluses is known for its Alpine setting and (during the first part of the 20th century) its watch-making industry. Geography The town is located in the Arve Valley, in the region Faucigny. Situated between Geneva and Chamonix, Cluses is located near a number of popular ski slopes. Population History During the Roman era, a bridge, was built across the Arve River. ''Fort Boyard'' is a French game show created by Jacques Antoine that was first broadcast on 7 July 1990 (originally as ''Les Clés de Fort Boyard'', however shortened to ''Fort Boyard'' from the second series in 1991). Foreign versions of the show, with varying success, have aired around the world since 1990. Set and filmed on the real Fort Boyard (fortification), fortress of the same name on the west coast of France, the programme appears similar to British game show ''The Crystal Maze'' which was created as an alternative format by Antoine for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, after the fortress was unavailable to film in because of its then ongoing refurbishment (during 1989). In both programmes the contestants have to complete challenges to win prize money.
