Aimee Willmott
Aimee Willmott (born 26 February 1993) is an English competitive swimmer who has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games, FINA world championships and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. She was the 2018 Commonwealth Games champion in the 400 metres individual medley. Life Willmott competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the 400 metre individual medley reaching the final in 2016. She competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, 2014 games in Glasgow where she won silver medals in the 400 metre individual medley and 200 metres butterfly and the 2018 Games in Gold Coast, Australia where she won a gold medal in the 400 metre individual medley. Kevin Willmott (born August 31, 1959) is an Academy Award Winning American film director and screenwriter, and professor of film at the University of Kansas. He is known for work focusing on black issues including writing and directing '' Ninth Street,'' '' C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America,'' and '' Bunker Hill.'' His ''The Only Good Indian'' (2009) was a feature film about Native American children at an Indian boarding school and the forced assimilation that took place. William Willmott
William Henry Francis Willmott (16 May 1895 – 2 May 1947) was an Australian politician who was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1938 until his death, representing the seat of Sussex. Willmott was born in Busselton, in Western Australia's South West region. His uncle, Francis Edward Sykes Willmott, and first cousin, Francis Drake Willmott, were both also members of parliament. As a boy, Willmott lived at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse for several years, where his father was the lighthouse keeper. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force in April 1916, and during the war served as a private with the 16th and 32nd Battalions. While fighting at Zonnebeke, Belgium, Willmott lost one of his legs. After the war's end, he returned to Busselton to farm, and also served on the board of a dairy company. Trevor Willmott
Trevor Willmott (born 29 March 1950) is a British retired bishop in the Church of England. He served as Bishop of Basingstoke (one of two suffragan bishops in the Diocese of Winchester) from 2002 to 2009 and then Bishop of Dover (''de facto'' diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Canterbury) from 2010 until his retirement in 2019. Robert Aris Willmott (30 January 1809 – 27 May 1863) was an English cleric and author. Christened Robert Eldridge Aris Willmott, he never used his second Christian name. Life Willmott -- the son of a solicitor, who married, about 1803, to Mary Ann (died 1861), daughter of Rev John Cleeve of Ringwood, Hampshire -- was born at Bradford, Wiltshire on 30 January 1809. His father went to London, and had money troubles. In October 1819 he was admitted at Merchant Taylors' school. He entered Harrow School in January or February 1825. There in March 1828 he brought out the first number of the ''Harrovian'', which ran to six numbers. At the close of 1828 Willmott became tutor to Thomas Green, and remained so for about two years. Peter Willmott (18 September 1923 – 8 April 2000) was a British sociologist who along with Michael Young founded the Institute for Community Studies. His studies of family life and housing influenced both social policy and the development of applied social research in Britain after the Second World War. Early life Willmott was born at Adderbury, near Banbury, Oxfordshire, to Benjamin Merriman Willmott, an automobile engineer and part-owner of a small motor-repair workshop and garage who also ran a rural one-bus service, and Dorothy Nellie Godden (née Weymouth; d. 1927). Leonard Willmott
Leonard Richard Douglas Willmott, MM, BEM (b. Battersea, London; 23 June 1921 – d. Tweed Heads, New South Wales; 24 May 1993) was a British soldier who saw active service as a signaller with the Special Operations Executive during World War II. Willmott joined the British Army whilst in his teens and rose through the ranks to gain a commission. He saw active service with distinction in Europe, including Poland in September 1939, and was awarded British, French and Dutch decorations. After his British Army service was terminated, Willmott emigrated to New Zealand where he worked in various parts of the security services.
