Willie Penman (footballer, Born 1939)
William Salmond Thomson Penman (7 August 1939 – December 2017) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Rangers, Newcastle United, Swindon Town, Walsall, Dundalk and Seattle Sounders. Penman was a used substitute as Swindon won the Football League Cup The EFL Cup (referred to historically, and colloquially, as the League Cup), currently known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual knockout competition and major trophy in men's domestic football in England. East Wemyss
East Wemyss () is a village situated on the south coast of Fife, Scotland. According to the 2011 census, the village has a population of 1,928. History East Wemyss was traditionally one of several coal mining communities along the south coast of Fife. The pit was its main employer for many years until it was closed in 1967 due to a fire which resulted in the deaths of nine men. The mine has since been demolished, however a memorial to the pit and the men who died has been erected. This coastal area is known for its caves (the place-name derives from Gaelic ''uamh'', 'cave'); there are eleven caves, several of which contain Pictish incised carvings. The caves were documented by the archaeological television programme '' Time Team'' in 2005, in an episode then broadcast in February 2005. Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, and began play in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. The Sounders are a phoenix club, carrying the same name as the original Sounders franchise that competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1974 to 1983. The club's majority owner is Adrian Hanauer, and its minority owners are the estate of Paul Allen, Drew Carey, and 14 families from the Seattle area. Former USL Sounders coach and assistant coach Brian Schmetzer took over as head coach in July 2016 after the departure of Sigi Schmid.
