Willie Eyre
William Mays Eyre (born July 21, 1978) is a former Major League Baseball relief pitcher. He played for the Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles. Baseball career High school & college Eyre was All-State at Cyprus High School (UT). In and , he was an All-America selection playing outfield at the College of Eastern Utah. Minnesota Twins Eyre was drafted in the 23rd round of the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft by the Minnesota Twins. From 1999 to , Eyre made his way through the Twins' minor league system, playing for the Elizabethton Twins, Quad City River Bandits, Fort Myers Miracle, New Britain Rock Cats, Phoenix Desert Dogs (Arizona Fall League), and Rochester Red Wings. The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. A center fielder, abbreviated CF, is the outfielder in baseball who plays defense in center field – the baseball and softball fielding position between left field and right field.
