Willie Clarke (politician)
Willie Clarke (born 13 October 1966) is an Irish republican politician from Northern Ireland. He was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly in 2003 as a Sinn Féin member for South Down. He has been a member of Down District Council since 2001. On 21 February 2012, he announced he would resign as an MLA to concentrate on his work as a Down District councillor. Down District Council
Down District Council was a Local Council in County Down in Northern Ireland. It merged with Newry and Mourne District Council in April 2015 under local government reorganisation in Northern Ireland to become Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. The Council was headquartered in Downpatrick. Other towns in the Council area were Ardglass, Ballynahinch, Castlewellan, Clough, Crossgar, Dundrum, Killough, Killyleagh, Newcastle, Saintfield, Seaforde and Strangford. South Down (Assembly Constituency)
South Down (, Ulster Scots: ''Sooth Doon'') is an electoral constituency for the Northern Ireland Assembly. It lies in the southern portion of County Down. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Assembly in 1973.
