Willie's Roadhouse
Willie's Roadhouse (formerly Willie's Place) is a channel on the Sirius XM Radio that specializes in playing traditional country music, as well as some older country hit songs. It is available on channel 59 (previously 56) and Dish Network 6059 (previously 6056), until The Highway took Willie's Roadhouse's former spot. Until July 10, 2006, this channel was called "Hank's Place", named for Hank Williams. When this was announced, XM did not explain why the name was changed. Since then, however, Willie Nelson's face has appeared in print advertising for XM, meaning that he has signed an endorsement deal, like those earlier signed by Bob Dylan and Snoop Dogg, as well as many other celebrity figures in all walks of life (e.g. Oprah Winfrey and Dale Earnhardt Jr.). It has since been announced that Nelson has taken over part ownership of the channel. A program featuring cowboy poetry airs on Sunday nights. Willie's Place
Willie's Place was a truck stop and biodiesel processing plant located in Carl's Corner, Texas that was opened in 2005 and named after Willie Nelson. The facility was originally built circa 1980 by Carl Cornelius and named Carl's Corner. Willie's Place was closed for a time and then reopened in 2008 after a significant expansion. Willie's Place had a gas station that was the first to sell Willie Nelson Biodiesel brand biodiesel, a restaurant that specialized in Southern cuisine, a convenience store and a 750-seat concert theater for performances. The theater had a bar and a dance floor, and various touring country western bands would perform there. Willie Nelson also occasionally visited the site, and occasionally performed. Nashville! was a commercial radio channel on XM Satellite Radio. It was located on XM 57(previously 11) and plays a wide range of country music hits from the early 1990s through today. The Roadhouse
''The Roadhouse'' was a Classic Country radio station on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 62, XM Satellite Radio channel 10 and DISH Network channel 6062. As of February 9, 2010, Direct TV dropped Sirius XM programming in favor of SonicTap. Originally airing only on Sirius, the channel was added to the XM platform (replacing XM's America) in November 2008.
