Williamson Dunn
Williamson Dunn (December 25, 1781 – November 11, 1854) was an American judge and politician in the early history of Indiana. He served as the third Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives. Dunn is credited with having founded the town of Hanover, Indiana, as well as having contributed funds towards the founding of Hanover College.John M. Gresham & Co. Dunn was born near Danville, Kentucky. He was the son of Samuel Dunn, an Scots-Irish Presbyterian immigrant who originally settled in Rockingham County, Virginia, and served in Lord Dunmore's War and the Revolutionary War. Amos Lane
Amos Lane (March 1, 1778 – September 2, 1849) was an American lawyer and politician who served two terms as a United States House of Representatives, U.S. Representative from Indiana from 1833 to 1837. Early life and education Born near Aurora, Cayuga County, New York, Aurora, New York, Lane attended the public schools. He studied law, was Admission to the bar in the United States, admitted to the bar and commenced practice at Lawrenceburg, Indiana, in 1808. He moved to Burlington, Kentucky, and practiced law. He returned to Lawrenceburg, Indiana, in 1814 and continued the practice of his profession. That same year, his son James Henry Lane (Indiana and Kansas), James Henry Lane, was born. Political career Lane was elected a member of the first Indiana House of Representatives in 1816. He was reelected in 1817.
