Williams And Ree
Bruce Williams and Terry Ree, alternately billed as both "Williams and Ree" and "The Indian and The White Guy", are a pair of American comedians. Since the late 1960s, they have performed throughout the United States. Williams and Ree first met in 1968 at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, as members of a band who filled time between songs with comedy sketches. Their humor soon became more popular than their music. Much of the duo's banter plays upon the stereotypes held of Native Americans. Williams and Ree have performed with the likes of Garth Brooks, The Oak Ridge Boys and Tim McGraw, and have made many television appearances on The Nashville Network. Their comedy albums include "The Best of Williams and Ree", "Taking Reservations" and "Way Up Norsk". They also made two independent films in South Dakota, "Williams and Ree, The Movie" and "Totem Ree-Call". Craven Country Jamboree
Country Thunder Saskatchewan (formerly the Craven Country Jamboree) is an annual country music festival, held in the Qu'Appelle Valley, near Craven, Saskatchewan, Canada. History The event was first held in 1983 as the Big Valley Jamboree, with Roy Orbison as a headline act. The event was originally founded by Roman Catholic priest Lucien Larré as a fundraiser for his youth housing charity Bosco Homes. A historic feature of the festival has been the "Gopher Run", a rush seating line where up to 3,000 spectators can bring their own chairs for the front row. In the late-1980's, the Jamboree came under government oversight due to an abuse scandal involving Larré. In 1993, the Jamboree was sold to the Alberta-based Vinco Foods, who began to hold a sister event in Camrose, Alberta. Country Thunder is a music festival company that hosts several concerts in North America each year. Craven ( 2016 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Longlaketon No. 219 and Census Division No. 6. The village lies north-east of the town of Lumsden in the Qu'Appelle Valley. It sits at the confluence of the Qu'Appelle River and Last Mountain Creek. The Craven Dam is on the east side of the village. Craven is host to an annual country music festival called Country Thunder Saskatchewan.
