William Thomas Larkin
William Thomas Larkin (March 31, 1923 – November 4, 2006) was a prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg in Florida from 1979 to 1988. Biography Early life William Larkin was born in Mount Morris, New York, on March 31, 1923. He attended St. Andrews and St. Bernard seminaries in Rochester, New York. He was ordained as a priest in Syracuse, New York, for the Diocese of St. Augustine on May 15, 1947, by Bishop Walter Foery. After his ordination, Larking served in a parish in Daytona Beach, Florida. He then studied at the Angelicum University in Rome, where he became a roommate of the future Pope John Paul II. Larkin help him study English. Larkin received a Doctor of Sacred Theology degree in 1949. Port Richey is a city in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It is a suburban city included in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. History In 1883, Aaron M. Richey arrived from St. Joseph, Missouri, and settled near the mouth of the Pithlachascotee River. He established a post office in his home on July 9, 1884. Port Richey was incorporated as a municipality in 1925, in response to the incorporation of New Port Richey the previous year. The name Port Richey is older than the name New Port Richey, as the post offices were established in 1884 and 1915, respectively. Singer Johnny Cash owned a home along the Pithlachascotee River from 1979 until 2002. Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, inherited the house from Maybelle Carter after her death, and sold it in 2002 shortly before their deaths in 2003. Leukemia ( also spelled leukaemia and pronounced ) is a group of blood cancers that usually begin in the bone marrow and result in high numbers of abnormal blood cells.
